Warranty Policy for Goss Products

In the unlikely event that a Goss Product is found to be defective within 2 years or 40,000 km’s (which ever comes first), due to defects in material and workmanship, we will replace it for you free of charge.

What is covered by this warranty?

IM Group warrants Goss products to be free from defects in material and workmanship and suitable for use in applications as prescribed by Goss. Within the warranty period IM Group will replace any defective product free of charge.

Should any engine or equipment be damaged as a result of the use of a proven defective Goss product, IM Group will pay to restore the engine to a condition equivalent to the state of the engine or equipment immediately prior to the damage. Consequential damage claims will not be covered by this Warranty.

IMPORTANT: Depending on the particular product involved and/or the engine or equipment which has incurred damage, it may be necessary for IM Group to inspect the damage. Therefore, contact should be made with IM Group to discuss the defective Goss fuel pump before any repairs are carried out.

Conditions of this warranty

This warranty will be void if the Goss product has not been installed in accordance with the installation instructions in effect at the time of installation. This warranty covers Goss Product fitted to vehicles in original condition. IM Group does not warrant product fitted to any vehicle that has been changed or modified from original specification.

This warranty does not cover any Goss product that has been subject to misuse, neglect, negligence, accident or any other external factor outside the control of IM Group or that has been improperly maintained, operated or installed.

Making a warranty claim

To make a warranty claim you should return to the place of purchase as soon as practicable after you become aware of the defect. Your mechanic should then contact IM Group on your behalf.

If IM Group requires an inspection to be undertaken, it will arrange (at its expense) for an employee or agent to carry out the inspection as soon as practicable, but no more than 14 days after being notified of the defective Goss product . If an inspection is not required, IM Group may arrange, at its expense, to collect the defective Goss fuel pump. Alternatively it may request that you deliver the defective Goss product to IM Group for examination, with IM Group to reimburse you for your reasonable costs incurred in making that delivery upon provision of receipts by you. Supplied strainers must be returned with Goss electric fuel pumps.

Within 21 days of carrying out an inspection or receiving a defective Goss product for examination, IM Group will determine whether the product was in fact defective and whether it is covered by this voluntary warranty.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

In addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, IM Group Pty Ltd provides a LIMITED WARRANTY for Goss fuel pumps of either 2 years or 40,000 kilometres (whichever comes first).
